What electoral system is better for Armenia?
21.02.2012 | Alexander Tsinker
Top debates and discussions are underway in Armenia on the threshold of parliamentary elections. What electoral system to use this time? That is the question. What is better for Armenia: to retain the existing mixed electoral system or to transfer to the 100% proportional electoral system?

Not all Jews share Lieberman’s viewpoint on Armenian Genocide
07.02.2012 | Alexander Tsinker
In "Our Home is Israel" party, which Lieberamn represents, the Azerbaijani lobby is very strong, and naturally, it will come against recognition of the Armenian genocide, while the Armenian Party is strong in Likud alliance.

It's better to resolve problems at the negotiating table but not battle fields
16.11.2011 | Alexander Tsinker
I think that Israel will not independently take such radical steps without coordination of its actions with the USA and the leading countries of the European Union. We also hope that if Russia and the USA come to a single viewpoint about the Iranian nuclear issue, which Barack Obama has recently said about, in that case Ahmadinejad will hardly be so much uncompromising.

Israel-Turkey. The essence of apologies’ price
08.09.2011 | Hayk Kotanjian
Turkey seeks to serve as a policy guideline of the “Arab Spring” by supporting not only the change of power in the Islamic countries, but also the change of regimes.

NK issue has one solution, and it is peace solution
25.08.2011 | Alexander Tsinker
I will note with great sorrow that NK issue is a frozen conflict. So we do not speak about its settlement now. NK issue is often compared with Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And though this comparison is not complete truth but the experience of negotiations between Israel and Palestine may be used during the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Israel is not ready to recognize Armenian Genocide yet
25.08.2011 | Alexander Tsinker
I want to note that there have always been forces in Israel which claimed Armenian Genocide must be recognized. I am sure that Jewish nation who has endured Holocaust now has no right to ignore the tragedy of another nation. But my personal attitude and official attitude of Israel are quite different cases. It was and remains unchanged.

Over these two decades the country has experienced a complete turnaround from an agrarian republic with a primitive, raw materials-oriented infrastructure and the lowest per capita income in the former USSR and has come to play a significant role in the Central Asian region.

Turkey to lose more, severing relations with Israel
01.06.2010 | Alexander Tsinker
I do not rule out that there were some naïve human right advocates on this terror flotilla (as I can’t name it a peace flotilla). But majority of those aboard were ready for resistance and knew that there will be loses. Moreover, I have no doubt that they deliberately sent to slaughter those, who believed that Gaza residents are starving.
